Malaysian Government officials, after attending a telecommunications conference, told the media that they are eying on battling the digital piracy prevalent in the country. The officials added that they are searching for ways to overcome or reduce the digital content piracy, which has become a headache these days.
To enjoy a developed IT sector, it is imperative to overcome the online digital piracy. Officials are motivated and geared towards eliminating or at least reducing digital piracy from the country. This is the only way to develop the IT industry, which is something you have to look into comprehensively. Not just the security, but also the integrity of the telecom sector is under immense pressure, added by the official spokesperson attending the conference.
In the recent years, internet piracy has taken various countries under its influence, and Malaysia is among the major victims of the online digital piracy. It is the responsibility of the respective governments to take considerable steps, aiming towards the elimination of digital content piracy. Illegal and pirated sites have hindered the working of the legitimate sites, which are important for the telecom industry to grow without any hiccups.
The government officials attending the meeting were of the view that increased online piracy has become threatening. All the countries need to join hands to overcome the digital content piracy, which has spread worldwide. With more than 182 billion spam e-mails over the internet, it is high time to take strict and noticeable actions against the online piracy.
Among other countries, Malaysia is also exposed to internet spam, which hinders the efficiency and effectiveness of the legitimate internet companies operating in the country.
The officials added that the internet integrity is at stake because of the online piracy, so preventive measures have become the ballgame these days.Officials further added that if the international conferences did not pave the way for overcoming internet piracy, then Malaysia, as a sovereign country has its own rules, norms and digital piracy laws, which can be implemented to achieve the results we are in pursuit of.
The international conferences are aimed at coming to a mutual conclusion among the countries, but until then, the internal copyright laws will be helpful in fighting the odds of internet piracy in Malaysia.
The internet piracy can become havoc if not dealt with precisely. Owing to the increased illegal sites offering infringed digital content, it has become necessary to come up with timely measures focusing on overcoming the online digital piracy. The piracy concerns can hit the telecommunications sector of a country severely; so proper anti-piracy measures have become the name of the game.
The Malaysian Government officials are of the view that all the countries must unite to fight the online piracy concerns. There must be similar copyright laws prevalent everywhere, so that the internet users do not have to abide by different copyright laws at the same time.
The consensus among the countries on online piracy can change the entire scenario for good, and these international telecommunications conferences are a perfect way forward towards achieving the mentioned results.
