Position: Outreach & Communications Manager/Senior Manager
Organization: Women for Women International
Location: Washington, DC

Summary:

Women for Women International (WfWI) is seeking an Outreach & Communications Manager/Senior Manager to expand our communications reach in the US and assist in our communications efforts world-wide. The Outreach & Communications Manager/Senior Manager will leverage our Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) content to articulate our impact and how WfWI fits into the broader policy dialogue. He/She will design an outreach & communications strategy that will amplify our mission and the voices of the socially-excluded women we serve through all available communications vehicles ? spokespeople, communiqu?s, reports, newsletters, annual reports, and articles. We are looking for an experienced, resourceful and innovative individual with strong leadership skills and advanced oral and written communication abilities. This position will report to the Director of Marketing, Communications and External Relations.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

* Leverage our M&E content to articulate WfWI?s impact and how WfWI fits into the broader policy dialogue
* Continually liaise with Programs and M&E to understand the state of our programs and to review outputs from M&E and Programs. Determine how to best communicate WfWI?s impact to our stakeholders and our contribution to the broader policy dialogue, with priority going to communications that maximize our ability to achieve our goals
* Stay abreast of key themes and activities in the policy arena impacting WfWI?s work
* Ensure consistent and impactful external representation of the organization?s activities
* Produce talking points, speeches, and blogs for all external spokespeople
* Write articles for key spokespeople as needed
* Provide content updates to revenue groups as needed (Marketing, IA, Sponsorship)
* Produce scripts for media as requested
* Working independently or with subject matter experts produce written communications, Q&A, and other materials that engage, educate, and sustain the interest of our supporters
* Represent WfWI in a variety of community outreach activities, meetings, and public forums; speak to groups and individuals regarding WfWI's activities and mission
* Design, produce and disseminate high quality reports for key internal and external stakeholders including the annual report, organizational calendar, quarterly internal newsletter, quarterly external newsletter (non-solicitation newsletter aimed at BOD members and critical external stakeholders), flash reports, ad hoc reports based on M&E and other information collected from the field. Other internal and external communiqu?s as warranted
* Projects as assigned by Director of Marketing, Communications and External Relations
